Free Instagram Video Downloader

Download Instagram Reels and videos as MP4 files with sound, without a watermark, to your phone or computer.

Free: 3 posts or 1 profile a day after you sign in with Google. No card needed.

An Instagram video downloader saves the video file of a Reel or post, which Instagram itself only lets you download with its logo added, if at all. Paste a Reel, post or profile link and save the MP4, usually in 720p HD with sound, the audio on its own, or every photo of a carousel, with nothing to install: 3 free downloads a day after signing in with Google.

Download Instagram Reels free, without the watermark

Videos, photos and audio. No extension, and no app to install.

No watermark

You get the file Instagram plays in its own app, without the Instagram logo and @username that Instagram's Download button adds. Anything the creator put in the video stays.

Reels, videos and photos

Reels and video posts save as MP4 with sound. A carousel lists every photo and video with its own button, and photos come as JPG images 1080 pixels wide.

The audio on its own

Many Reels also have an Audio button that saves just the sound, for the music or the voice-over without the picture.

A whole profile at once

Paste a profile link to list its 12 latest posts, each with its own download buttons. A profile uses 3 downloads.

What people use an Instagram video downloader for

Your own Reels and posts, or ones you have permission to use.

A fitness creator on a gym bench watches his own workout video on his phone, with a folder of his videos open on a laptop beside him

Creators

Back up your Reels without the watermark

Instagram's Download button on a public Reel adds the Instagram logo and the @username. Paste the Reel's link here instead and you get the file Instagram plays, with its sound and no watermark, to keep or to post somewhere else.

A phone showing a swipeable carousel of seaside photos lies on a table among printed travel photos, a film camera and a coffee

Travellers and photographers

Save every photo and video of a carousel

A carousel lists each item with its own button: photos as JPG images 1080 pixels wide, videos as MP4. Keep the whole trip you posted, not just the first slide.

A social media manager watches a customer's unboxing video on her laptop, next to a phone showing a message conversation

Brands

Share a customer's Reel, with their permission

When a customer or a creator says yes, download their Reel to use in your Stories, ads or product pages, and credit them. Keep the message where they agreed.

How to download a video from Instagram

Three steps, on a phone or a computer.

  1. 1

    Copy the Instagram link

In the Instagram app, tap the Share icon (the paper plane) under the Reel or post, then Copy link. On the web, copy the address of the Reel, the post or the profile.

  2. 2

    Paste it above

Paste the link and press Download. Reel, post and profile links all work, including the ones the app copies with ?igsh= at the end. It usually takes a few seconds.

  3. 3

Save it to your phone or PC

Press Video and the MP4 opens in a new tab. On Android, use the ⋮ menu and Download. On iPhone, tap Share, then Save to Files, then open it in Files and choose Save Video to add it to Photos. On a PC or Mac, right-click and choose Save video as.

Instagram video download in HD: 720p, 1080p and 4K

You get the MP4 file Instagram provides, with sound and exactly as Instagram stores it.

  • 720p HD: the size Instagram gives most Reels as a single MP4 file (720×1280), and the one you download here. Videos in a carousel come 720 pixels wide.
  • 1080p: Instagram converts every upload to its own sizes, and provides most Reels as a 720p file even when they were uploaded in 1080p. When it provides a larger file, that is the one you get.
  • 4K: not available. Instagram does not deliver Reels in 4K, and a tool that promises 4K from Instagram can only enlarge a smaller file, which adds no detail.

Remove text from a video

When this is not the right tool

It is not your video

Downloading a video does not give you the right to repost it. Only download your own videos, or ones you have permission to use.

You want a Story or Highlight

Stories, Highlights and live videos cannot be downloaded here, only Reels, posts and profiles.

The account is private or the post deleted

Only public posts can be downloaded. Posts from private accounts and removed posts return an error and do not use a download.

You need hundreds of posts

The free allowance is 3 posts or one profile page a day, then 1 second of credit per download. It is meant for saving your own posts, not for bulk archiving.
