Where the TikTok watermark comes from
TikTok plays every video in its app without a watermark. The logo and the @username are added only to the copy the app makes when you tap Save video, so that other apps show where the video came from and who made it. That is why the original, downloaded by link, is the cleanest way to remove it, and erasing is the way left when you only have the saved file.
Every way to remove the TikTok watermark
They all end with no logo in view. They differ in what they cost the video.
| Method | What you get | What you lose |
|---|---|---|
| Download the original (link) | TikTok’s own file, without the logo and @username, often 1080p | Needs the post’s link, and the post must still be public |
| AI erase (file) | The logo and @username repainted with what is behind them, at the video’s resolution up to 1080p | Time (10 minutes or more), 1 credit per second, and faint traces on busy backgrounds |
| Crop the frame | The logo out of view, for part of the video | Part of the picture; the watermark moves from side to side, so one crop rarely hides it all |
| Blur the logo | The logo hidden | A visible smudge that has to follow the logo around the frame |

Hand the client a clean file

Editors and videographers
Build a showreel from your posts

TikTok watermark remover FAQ
How do I remove the TikTok watermark?

Is this TikTok watermark remover free?
With a link, yes: 3 free downloads a day after signing in with Google, with no card. Erasing the watermark from a file uses 1 credit per second of video, and new accounts get 30 free seconds a month. Free monthly seconds are available to accounts created in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU/EEA, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Israel and the UAE, up to two accounts per network each month.

No. With a link it does not touch the video at all: you get the original file, which never had the watermark. With a file, the AI repaints the picture behind the logo and @username instead of blurring or cropping it.
How do I remove the TikTok watermark from a video I already saved?
Choose Only the file and upload the video. Two boxes already sit where TikTok puts the watermark; check them, tick that the video is your own and start. It takes about 10 to 14 minutes for a 30-second 1080p clip; longer videos take longer and uses 1 credit per second. If the post is still public, pasting its link is faster and free.
Does it remove the @username too?
Yes. With a link, neither the TikTok logo nor the @username is in the original file. With a file, both are inside the boxes that get erased. Names or text the creator put into the video itself stay.
Why does TikTok add a watermark?
So that a video shared outside TikTok shows where it came from and who made it. TikTok adds the logo and the @username when a video is saved from the app; the video it plays in the app has neither.
Why remove the TikTok watermark before posting to Instagram Reels?
Instagram has said that Reels carrying another app's watermark are less likely to be recommended. Posting your own video without the TikTok logo avoids that.
What quality is the video without the watermark?
With a link, the quality TikTok stores it in, often 1080p, not re-encoded. From a file, the same resolution as the video you upload, up to 1080p.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in the phone browser. With a link the video opens in a new tab: on iPhone use the share button and Save to Files, on Android the ⋮ menu and Download. To erase from a file, upload it from your photos.
Can I remove the watermark from someone else’s TikTok?
No. The watermark credits the creator, so our Terms allow removing it only from your own videos, and reposting someone else’s video without it is not allowed. Follow TikTok’s terms and copyright law too.
